Artist Deloris De Velde

My breath passes into chambers filled with fluid mixing life.
I am created every new day by the hands of peace and strife.

Through the silence I float, my flesh is dressed and left behind.
Secret energy moves me towards the mysteries of the blind.

Echos from earth call me in a fog, thick with bright black stars;
A map that leads me back from sleep to reach my avatars

I can feel my soaring wings disappear as I pass into warm light;
awakened, my body so beautifully made by the one who gives sight.
