Pick A Card Any Card
Oh what to do with these strange new devices,
their rarity and unspoken mysterious prices.
If publicly shown they'll all blazingly shine,
causing more wars to decide if they'll all stay mine.
How to speak to unknown faces,
when eyes behold unrevealed races.
Questioning sanity with leaps and bounds,
is it still here or simply left town.
With whom does one share their own special gifts,
without being thrown off any social influenced cliffs.
How does one keep from being criticized as strange,
making others understand without appearing insane.
Who can you tell when there's no one around,
weighing whose trust you want yours to be found.
Knowing everyone has a hidden well-worn sight,
most will give you up for the right personal price.
What's to become of lives sheltered with incognito,
blurred is the definition of normal amongst all of the people.
Public lives seeming clean don't always match their sinister private ones,
their darkness prospers happily under the brightest of suns.
There can be much pain when you don't have a song,
or a friend you can trust when everything's gone wrong.
It's easy to judge a life from somewhere safe and afar,
until you're the one judged from the most distant of stars.
Time can slowly heal or immediately kill pain at its play,
grieving takes time while prescription drugs hurry it away.
One never knows when their mind has feebly betrayed,
only recognizing little fragments in the ward where they lay.
Oh what to do with vile thoughts that don't go away,
or depraved dreams making a home where you don't want them to stay.
Second by second everyone's personal battles are daily covertly fought,
look closely at anyone if you're unbelievably doubting with fraught.
Oh what to do with these strange new devices...........
