The Gate

The Gate

I don’t draw blood to fight.
Nor do I plan to take any life.
I’m focused on pursuit
cutting through the lies
and digging only for TRUTH.

I don’t draw others insane
nor do I point fingers blame.

Some shake their fists at me in rage
breathing evil chants and evil names.
They vow to themselves
that with blood I shall now pay.

I dig for treasure
beyond what’s earth and brain.
Not knowing the outcome of my own fate
still I press forward
shattering mirrored glass estates.

Attention now!
The portal of your FAITH.
Where are you walking?
Where are you headed?
On your way you said,
there was nothing more to lose.

When confused rage turns into hate
look what lies beyond the bounds of fate.
Even if we’re all as walking graves
there is a chance to turn it all around,
for deep within us is the gate.
