Flesh and Bone

Flesh and Bone

Oh LORD how filled the Day with fright!
Yet twice as long the wicked night!
Once sharpened blade now worn and gone.
So to the harvest I once sewn.

Braver men have chosen to fight.
Still they died with all their might!

How can a candle flame of bright
survive the storms raging inside?
For will it be the cursed man
who turns to left instead of right?

Oh LORD how long this EARTHLY life?
Death at birth or millenniums sight?
Obeying laws or in between.
Keeping dirty or keeping clean.

How can a BOOK not clearly seen
reveal the TRUTHS of Mystery?
How can minds that have never seen
communicate beyond our dreams?

How can hands that lie and steal
transform their touch now to heal?
How can one LOVE all in their sight
when with themselves they so despise?

Temptations chosen complicates.
Whom now to save and whom to forsake.
Tears unseen from minds eye still cry.
Wretched pain for all souls who die?
