Famine's Clock

Tick tock tick tock.
Can you see what's around the block?
The end of all things is now drawing fast.
Tests handed out and will any now pass?

Tick tock tick tock.
Can you see what has arrived at the dock?
The many with plans shall be laid to waste fast.
Tests being graded now who has all passed?

Tick tock tick tock.
How many possessions are handed over to hock?
The flags are all flying in a mournful half-mast.
Tests handed back now who has all passed?

Tick tock tick tock.
Looking around there is no one with a grin.
Recycled again to only start back from within.
Tests handed out again and time is smelling thin.
