Distance Within

Distance Within

Distance great you are from me,
beyond my grasp or eyes to see.
There is no road for me to seek,
loneliness grows deep in speech.

Days are filled as though a grave,
daylight comes and quickly fades.
A gentle search gaze upward air,
oh hear me LORD with humbled prayer.

See the snare which me they throw,
expose the truth and hated so.
My breath I feel grows fainter still,
thoughts I speak fall on deaf ear.

What can I drink for misery?
What can I eat to set me free?
Forgive us LORD for all our sin,
fill this void distance within.
