Distance great YOU are from me,
beyond my grasp or eyes to see.
There is no road for me to seek;
loneliness grows deep in speech.
Days are filled as though a grave,
daylight comes and quickly fades.
A gentle search gaze upward air;
oh hear me LORD with humbled prayer.
See the snare which me they throw,
expose the truth and hated so.
My breath I feel grows fainter still;
thoughts I speak fall on deaf ears.
What can I drink for misery?
What can I eat to set me free?
Forgive us LORD for all our sin;
please fill this void distance within.
