What can a person do;
what can a person say?

When your hand is stretching out for forgiveness
you sharply feel the sting as it's quickly slapped away.

What can a person do;
what can a person say?

When sins from your childhood once thought dead and gone
haunt on to condemn you from those that you've wronged.

What can a person do;
what can a person say?

When MERCY and FORGIVENESS you now show unto all
though what's shown unto you now makes you stumble and fall.

What can a person do;
what can a person say?

When your tears once hidden in the blackest of dark
show overflowingly exposed beyond the brightest of spark.

What can a person do;
what can a person say?

When sins you believe as forgiven from ones you once did hurt
still awake you at night screaming in pain beyond this EARTHLY dirt.
